Stroudsburg Guitar Lessons

I have 40+ years of guitar playing and lesson experience. I cover many styles including classic rock, blues, jazz and the classical repertoire. I’m also able to teach electric bass, piano (keyboard), five string banjo, mandolin, fiddle (violin), drums (rudiments) and trap set, saxophone, flute and clarinet.

An hour long guitar or music lesson has two parts. One part is learning how to play your instrument; how to hold the instrument, strumming, picking, left and right hand coordination. The second part is leaning to play what you want to play. You’ll learn to read music notation, and music theory lessons will be introduced as needed.

Guitar and music lessons are in my well lit and air conditioned studio, located just one mile from Main Street, Stroudsburg, PA.

With my guitar and music lessons you’ll learn:

Open string chords, barre chords, jazz chords, common chord progressions and chord chemistry.

Major and Minor scales. Blues scales. Riffs, licks, rucks and arpeggios. Scale to chord relationships.

Articulation studies, right and left hand development, rhythm studies with chords and scales.

Reading sheet music, and reading your part from piano music.

Transposition studies and the theory as it applies to the guitar.

Harmony. Arranging. Composition. Improvisation.
